When I originally read your comment, I was nodding like a fiend. YES. You read my mind and what I didn't write down! I feel like women aren't allowed to be mad but men can be. Like Cameron was mad at Bianca, but why couldn't Bianca be mad at Cameron for putting her on a pedestal? Why did she have to prove herself but he didn't?
I love Kat's disdain for everyone. I did appreciate how the movie didn't try and turn her fluffy in regards to that, but for someone who has relatable trauma wrt someone abandoning her and betraying her trust, I wanted to see her express herself more. (Bianca dismissed her about Joey, so it was frustrating for me to see Patrick not go "Okay, we need to talk. This is what I want to say to you and I took the money for X Y Z reason" and then give her the guitar. I personally think Patrick does have the emotional maturity to acknowledge her trauma and also apologise for his part in hurting her. That's why I love Patrick and Kat so much!)
