Dear ficinabox creator,

I'm buries and finnicks.

I've written this letter to give you tl;dr level of detail regarding my likes, dislikes, and prompts. I've included prompts to help you have an idea of what I like, but please take what you like from this and don't feel like you have to take my prompts at face value. As long as it doesn't hit a DNW, I'm going to enjoy it!

If you find one section smaller than the others, please don't think I want it any less! Sometimes, I have a lot to say, and other times I (thankfully) say it concisely. Some of the sections have been built over time (particularly with prompts).

My prompts are in no particular order and the canons have been categorised via their mediums and alphabetised. I have opted into a few additional medium tags, which I've included in my letter at the start of each fandom as I've chosen different tags for different fandoms.

GENERAL NOTES

I like works of all ratings—Gen to Explicit. (Explicit doesn't need to be for explicit smut.)

I love drabbles (100, 200, 300 words) and drabble series.

I'm open to any length of work—just a little over the minimum to three times over the minimum. Write the length that best suits the story you want to tell. In terms of art, if you wish to create an extra couple of panels that are above the minimum requirement, please feel free to!

Have fun with the POV! I'd love to receive second or third person for fic. I have a preference for third-person limited. I'm not a big fan of first person outside of epistolary sections (unless it's Joe Goldberg).

Please feel free to use what's in this letter in combination with any freeform tags. I've done my best to give as many prompts as possible, but please feel free to interpret them for any of the additional mediums I've opted into if you wish to create something that isn't the usual traditional exchange gift. (This letter is already so long and Dreamwidth is starting to hate me.)

Using sex as a bargaining chip. Character feels as though they owe their captor sex. Captor not dissuading victim from not bargaining with sex. Sex to save someone's life, even if that life isn't actually in danger.

A note on dubcon and noncon: I'm fine with receiving either. For noncon, I'd like to avoid violent rape wherein violent such as slapping, hitting, etc. is used to overpower someone. I prefer dubcon and noncon to have an emotional manipulation element to it.

Aggressive sex followed by aftercare.

Anal penetration as an act of dominance.

Blackmail into sex. Agree to have sex to protect another character. Agree to have sex to prove obedience. Huddling for warmth turns into dubious consensual sex.

Forced to beg for orgasm. Forced or tricked into threesome/moresome (preference is woman).

Forced to kneel. Forced into position to give easier access.

Forced pregnancy on female character (whether it's successful or not, doesn't matter. I'm more interested in the power dynamic of the act).

ADDITIONAL MEDIUMS

VIDEO

Themes: Character study, relationship study, theme study (i.e. showcasing how the character has kicked ass, how they've overcome turmoil/ hardship, their trajectory, etc.)

I do love videos where the beat lines up with the clip transitions.

The videos I love the most are the ones that don't have a lot of fancy effects, but have a great storyline from start to finish. If you want to include a lot of effects, please go for it, but please don't feel like you need to.

Happy for other footage in addition to canonical footage to be used.

I love videos where the music plays and there's voiceovers from the footage that builds this storyline. (I'm also a fan of videos that are pure music.)

I love videos that are instrumental and allow the audio clips to be centre stage. I also love videos with songs with lyrics.

I am a big fan of pop music. I particularly like 70s-90s pop, music that has a beat, upbeat music, songs that tug at your heartstrings.

I also really enjoy crack videos like "X slaying for 5mins straight".

GENERAL DISLIKES

First person POV unless it's requested Joe Goldberg or epistolary. I'd like to avoid receiving it as the primary narrative POV.

Animal abuse or cruelty. I'd prefer this to be excluded even if it's a canonical event.

AUs such as:

• Unrequested setting changes such as space, regency, and medieval that aren't created from time travelling. If the new setting is treated as always being the canon setting, I'd like to opt-out of it.


• Unrequested changing a character's species.


• Mundane aus such as coffee shop (or any shop), everyone's in high school, everyone is a musician, superpowered characters were never given their superpowers and thus don't exist in a superpower canon.


• Different first-meets.


• Any unrequested AUs. I like my AUs to exist in the canon as we know it.

Character bashing wherein the focus on a particular character is only extremely negative, i.e. they're consistently put down for the sake of advancing the requested relationship with it made very clear that they have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I'm happy for character studies on these characters and for negative traits and decisions to be mentioned/discussed and those be the reasons why a relationship breakdown happens (some people do make shitty decisions, after all!), but I'd prefer that they be nuanced and fair and not be passionate putdowns. (For instance, if X lies to Requested Character and Requested Character feels they can never trust them again, that's fine!)

Deathfic where a requested character dies and it's an unhappy ending. I'm okay with secondary characters dying. I'm okay with a requested character who has died being dead and exploring death as long as they are not killed and have an unhappy ending in the fic. (Exploring purgatory/what comes after death is fine.) I'm okay with canonically dead characters being dead as long as the fic isn't killing them.

Extreme underage. I prefer anything that features someone 16 years and older.

References to terminal illnesses and COVID unless it's a part of the canon.

Unrequested genderswaps and sexuality headcanons.

Unrequested ships being the main focus. Acknowledgement of canon ships or past ships is fine. Background ships is A-OK. If the ship isn't one of my requested ships or a canon ship, please don't include it.

Violent rape. I'd prefer to avoid receiving anything noncon where the victim is slapped, hit, thrown violently around, etc. Manhandling is fine.

KAZ/INEJ

TL;DR:

I really, really love Kaz pining for Inej. I love his POV chapters so much because Inej is always on his brain—and why wouldn't she be? She's amazing! I love how he pushes her away and how he tries to put distance between them because Kaz can't do intimacy in any form that it comes in. But I love that he's ride or die and such a simp for her and will do absolutely anything for her.

AND HE WANTS TO TOUCH HER. UGH. WHAT A LOSER.

What I love about Inej is not only is she a WOC, she's given personality, a character arc, her own issues, and she's beloved by a canonical white man. (As a WOC, it's so great to see someone who looks like me be represented in such a fantastic and fully fleshed way and to be seen as a love interest rather than a mere caricature.) I love seeing Inej's strengths and her vulnerabilities, and I love, love, love how she refuses to compromise on what she wants, even if it means losing Kaz.

They work together so well. Not only are they professionally so well-tuned, I think Inej understands that Kaz has a phobia of touching and she never forces the issue. She never tries to find out his secrets. She leaves sit alone and lets him come to her in his own time. There's a level of respect between them that I love, even if Kaz can sometimes be an asshole. Inej understands Kaz on such an intimate level, even without knowing his full story. I love that Inej is his right-hand woman and that he tells her things that he doesn't share with anyone else. Their level of trust with one another is superb and so fantastic, and they're definitely what OTPs are made of.

The one thing I wish the book did was to allow Inej to exist with her trauma. She's such a compelling young woman and I'd have loved to have read more about her as a survivor than to have Inej only ever really brush her trauma aside and help Kaz navigate through his.

What happens when Inej has nightmares about being kidnapped by Van Eck again? How does she seek comfort? How does Kaz choose to comfort her?

What happens when Kaz wants to touch Inej? How far does he go?

What happens when the only way Kaz can get a kidnapped Inej back (or Inej from Heleen) is to prove he'll do anything for Inej, even if that means proving his loyalty and love for her by having sex with her? (I'd love fallout from this, too.)

What happens when Van Eck will only release Inej if Kaz has to do the one thing he's picked up on he doesn't want to do? What if he has to touch her?

An exploration of Inej's sexual trauma. The books really skimmed over this a lot and I felt that was a disservice to Inej.

ART:

MATTHIAS/NINA

TL;DR:

Ugh. THESE TWO. They are so useless together! I love how they're an enemies to lovers trope. I love how Matthias has damned everything he knows to be with Nina and I love that Nina, who can absolutely kill this man, doesn't. I loved their scenes in the whale huts. I loved their angst. I love how Matthias is all grizzly on the outside but simps hard for Nina on the inside. They're absolutely perfect together and I love how complimentary they are despite being polar opposites.

I love that Nina talks and is vulgar and owns her confidence. She's sexually confident and shows it, and I love how she refuses to allow anyone to shame her for it. I love how she's sassy and I love how she always has something smart to say. She definitely keeps people at a difference as emotional vulnerability doesn't seem to be a thing she particularly favours. I also love her Grisha ability and the fact that she tries to use facets of it to help others even if she's not skilled in it.

Matthias is such a softie. "My ghost won't associate with your ghost." Nina's always on the brain. I love how he's this reluctant Crow, but he never, ever betrays them, even when he should. He's got a heart of gold, even if he's misguided by how he was raised.

THE CROWS: KAZ, INEJ, JESPER, NINA (+ WYLAN AND MATTHIAS)

TL;DR:

I love the Crows so much and how their friendship. Everyone has a role to play in their cons and I love how that they fall apart without each other. While Kaz definitely seems like the leader (and he acts like it), I like that everyone he's not always the one making the decisions and that he's often challenged. What I like the most is how it has an Ocean's 11 vibe.

I'd love to see something where Nina being constantly put in the position to play the roles of the flirt and seductress is explored. Did she agree to do this because of Inej's past? Does Inej ever play that role? Is Kaz the reason why Inej is always in the shadows as the spider?

I'd also love to see some exploration of Jesper's Grisha power now that we know he's a Fabrikator. Does he go back home and learn more about his mother? Does he use his powers for good?

I also don't mind if anything is set in an au where Matthias doesn't die.

I'm more than happy to receive something that has the original Crows or has all the Crow members (including Wylan and Matthias). I love the ships Kaz/Inej, Matthias/Nina, and Jesper/Wylan.

BRUCE/SELINA

TL;DR:

I have always loved Bruce/Selina and Selina Kyle. I've loved them in every iteration—Batman Returns, Nolanverse Batman, Gotham, Titans (even though we've only had mentions of Selina!), and the comics. (I haven't seen RPattz Batman yet.) I'm happy if you want to turn this into one of those interpretations, too.

What I love about Bruce and Selina is that Bruce is this broody almost antisocial person who seems really cool and aloof, and Selina is the one who easily gets under his skin. I loved in The Long Halloween/The Dark Victory universe that she never gave up on him. She always needled him and pushed his buttons, and I love that she never, ever lets him push her away (even though she did go to Rome).

What I loved about Hush was how Bruce was so in love with Selina and he let her in despite his hang-ups and his walls. He let himself be vulnerable and still put his foot in it. I loved how he was so distracted by how he wanted her to know who he was and to be with her and to let himself be happy. I love the push and pull, the denial, the complex layer of the fact that Selina operates in this grey area while Bruce prefers to see things as black and white as it's so much easier for him at times. I like that she challenges him and that she encourages him to see that not everything is good/bad but can be both at the same time and sometimes.

I really like their banter, their snark, and how Selina always has the upper-hand even when he's saving her. His hardness softens around her, and I really like how Batman and Bruce experience this.

I really like how Selina softens and lets him get under her skin, and her "I'm in it for me" becomes "I'm in it for this man, too" and she goes out of her way to protect him. But what i like most about her is that she doesn't compromise herself despite changing her tack sometimes. Selina is Selina through and through and she doesn't allow Bruce to give her any less than what she deserves.

I love all of the Bat Rogues, but in particular I love Two-Face, the Joker, the Riddler, Harley and Poison Ivy. (I'm more than happy for anyone else to appear!)

Bruce or Selina get thrown into an alternate universe or the future and discover that they are happily married.

HOMELANDER/STARLIGHT

TL;DR:

What attracts me to these two is the power imbalance and how that can shift between them depending on the field they're playing on. Homelander obviously has the physical power—he's a pseudo god with his powers and even his arrogance—but Annie has emotional maturity and power that he severely lacks. After all, she knows who she is even outside of the suit. I find it poignant that we never see Homelander in anything over than his suit (or naked).

I really liked #Homelight in season 3 and wish we got to see more of them fake dating. Annie was in a precarious position with the knowledge that Homelander was going off the rails with his arrogance and paranoia, and I really wanted to see her go toe to toe with him with Edgar Stan's backing. I feel like she can definitely throw him off kilter (she did with that kiss—it proved she can meet him tit for tat) and I wish we got to see Annie grow more confident as a leader of the Seven.

Homelander being knocked down a few pegs by women (especially) pleases me greatly. He has an incredible lack of belonging that really makes how he tries to communicate with people so fucked up. I'd have loved to have seen Homelander try and play the power card over Annie (like he did threatening Hughie and Super Sonic) but I wish we got to see him try and play on her field of attempting to be a human.

The power imbalance and the power fighting are fantastic with these two.

I'm happy to receive anything dark or even light with them.

What happens when Homelander's thrown into a world or dream where he's married to Annie and has the life he's always wanted?

HOMELANDER/MAEVE

TL;DR:

I love these two because of how the power sits with them both. Maeve is apparently the second strongest Supe in the Seven and yet we never get to see her in action much. I enjoyed what we got to see of Homelander and Maeve—he's intimidating because of his attitude and arrogance and possessiveness, not his powers, and Maeve is intimidating to him for what she represents to him: a future.

Although their relationship is so fucked, I really enjoy it. I personally believe Homelander does love Maeve—perhaps an idea of her or even truly her. I would be up for anything that's set pre-show or even an au of the show. I wish we got to see her step into the co-leader role. I wish we got to see more of Homelander heeling at her feet… and even see his jealousy. He cared for her, even if it was in a completely fucked up way.

I'd love to see Maeve at the peak of her powers. I feel like she was significantly nerfed—she's a trained fighter, more than he is, and I feel like she gets the short end of the stick a lot. Let her kick his ass. Let him be afraid. Let him even enjoy it.

KATE/YELENA

TL;DR:

I fell hard and fast for these two. I love their physical chemistry and the way that they easily play off of one another. I love the idea of Yelena being this cool girl who walks into Kate's life and disrupts it and Kate absolutely loves it. Kate seems to be the type who would find Yelena fascinating and see the good, human bits in her, who wouldn't look at her and see a killer or a girl worth pitying. I think she would want to strive to be like Yelena—strong, impenetrable—and do everything she can to impress her.

I love the idea of Yelena learning all she can about Kate to try and intimidate her, but she ends up liking her for the person that she is. Yelena got to be fun and quirky and sarcastic with Kate in a way that really made her spark and come to life. I love that she respects Kate as a person and as a hero, and that she doesn't once hurt her.

I love Lucky. I love golden retrievers. I want to see this dog go on a damn walk and be spoiled and live his best life. Let him be a part of the team, too!

What happens when Kate finds out Yelena didn't really get to experience a certain holiday (or even her birthday)? Does she go all out and try and give her the best "first"?

Kate likes Yelena and wants to romance her… but every time she does, it goes wrong.

Yelena has nightmares. Do they sleep in the same bed? How does Kate comfort her?

Yelena teaches Kate self-defence. How badly does this go?

Kate teaches Yelena how to use a bow and arrow.

Yelena's never been on a date. Kate decides to teach Yelena how to date.

What happens when Yelena's injured after successfully freeing a Widow? How does Kate react? What does Yelena let and not let her do?

What happens when the Red Room mind controls Yelena? How does Kate respond? Does Yelena try and break out if it?

Yelena's upset about Natasha. This could be an anniversary, her birthday, or even just media about the Avengers' Black Widow. Kate comforts her.

What happens when Yelena has to hurt Kate to keep her cover for a mission? Is the Red Room involved?

What happens when Lucky happens upon someone or something that needs help? (It could be as silly as helping a cat find its owner or he finds something like a piece of alien technology or even a bad Widow.)

DARK IDEAS:

Yelena goes on an undercover mission and Kate tags along. What happens when they have to have sex to prove their cover is real? What if the Red Room knows how much Kate means to Yelena and exploits that?

ART:

Yelena braids Kate's hair and teaches her the different meanings of the braids.

LUCKY

TL;DR:

I love animals and I love Lucky. There isn't really too much to say other than he's cute, he's the best, he's the most awesome superhero, and I think that he deserves all the walks in the world!

Given that he has one eye and has a bit of a trauma-filled backstory in the Fraction comics, I'm happy for any gifts to explore his past as long as there isn't any graphic animal abuse depictions. References to it is all okay, but I'd prefer it not to be the focus of the work (i.e. it's all about Lucky losing his eye).

I'm happy for Lucky to interact with Yelena/Kate, Clint, and any other Avenger! (My favourites are Peter, MJ, Bucky, Natasha, Wanda, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Elektra, Matt, Agatha, Bobbie (AOS!Bobbie), Sif, Darcy, and Thor.)

MABEL & OLIVER (& THE CHARLES IS SILENT)

TL;DR:

I LOVE this show. I love Oliver. I love how these three work so well together. I love the humour and how everyone in the Arconia is such a unique character themselves. I particularly loved season one and how it was so intricately tied to Mabel's past and let us see into the history of the Arconia.

I'd love something that shows how well these three work together as a cohesive and sometimes questionable unit. Their chemistry is insane and I absolutely love how they all just gel together so well. (I've rewatched season one so many times it's not even funny.) I'm up for something dark, something goofy and not serious, and something that toes that line.

For ships, I like Mabel/Oscar and Mabel/Theo.

Of course, they solve a murder.

So, Oliver wants to start doing some marketing. How spectacularly does this go? What do their posters look like? Does he ask Mabel to design the business cards? What do they name themselves?

Years in the future, Mabel or Lucy are getting married. What happens when something goes missing (perhaps the bride's flowers?) and these three take it upon themselves to solve the crime?

DICK/KORY

TL;DR:

I'm forever bitter that they're not serving us Kory/Dick on a golden platter and hope this changes in season four, especially with Dick having seen Mar'i (!!!!). They have such fantastic chemistry—they're the mom and dad of the group, two leaders, two people who are just so good and sacrifice so much… I really, really wished that the show picked them back up and developed them since the actors are great and the characters shine together. They both went on journeys of discovering who they are to themselves… and they look so damn fine standing next to one another!

Kory seems such at ease with Dick. I like how relaxed she is and how Dick never looks at her as anyone but Kory. She's not afraid to be herself, even if she doesn't quite know who that is, especially on Earth. I think he's one of the first people to treat her as a human, not as Tamarean royalty. I like that he's always so worried about Kory but also knows that she's able to handle herself because she's fucking Koriand'r.

Kory calls Dick out on his shit, which is something that a lot of characters do, but she seems to do so with the understanding of where his motivations come from. Kory lets him be a person, not Bruce's son or Batman's sidekick. She lets him exist with his trauma and baggage and accepts him for that. She's his biggest advocate, something I feel Dick hasn't ever had.

I'd love to see them call each other by their full names—Richard and Koriand'r.

I'm happy if you ignore the power retcon that they've done with Kory and Kom.

Dick and Kory actually talk and support one another. What if Kory confided in Dick the fact she had to kill her friend Faddei because Komand'r had possessed him? What if Kory confided in Dick that Komand'r killed her parents? What if Dick confided in Koriand'r what happened with Jericho? That he went to prison because he's dumb? What if Koriand'r confided in Dick her identity issues? If Dick confided in Kory his issues? What if, when Dick got shot, Kory was actually there?

They try again.

Mar'i comes from the future to prevent something bad from happening. Dick and Kory, who may not be together, have to deal with the fact that they have a kid in the future.

What happens after Dick comes back from the Lazarus Pit? Does he tell Kory about his hallucination? Does he come back "right"?

What happens if Kory tells Dick about Komand'r and how her parents had treated her awfully? Does she feel guilty? How does she want to make it up to Komand'r?

What if Kory got to deal with her loving her powers while knowing Komand'r was crucified for not being able to produce her own fire?

Dick's reaction to Kory revealing she's royalty.

What if Kory was entertaining the idea of returning to Tamaran with Komand'r? How does Dick react?

What happens after the asylum? Are they shaken? Do they talk?

One of them is injured and the other takes care of them.

KORIAND'R & KOMAND'R

TL;DR:

These sisters have such a rich and complicated history, and I was so glad to see Kory and Kom on this show. Not only did the actresses have great chemistry, but I really enjoyed the trajectory of their relationship (even though it didn't really dive off from the season 2 finale as well as it should've).

I love that Komand'r, despite being somewhat powerless, is still such a powerful person. She has a confidence that Kory lacks. She knows who she is, even though she also doesn't know who she is. She's willing to make the hard decisions, to sacrifice and lash out, and she doesn't look back even though she does apologise.

Kory is capable of a compassion that Komand'r refuses to give to herself and others. Although Kory understandably has her walls up around Komand'r, I enjoyed how she finally saw her sister for who she was—a good person who was given a rough hand in life. I like that Kory tries to make up for Kom's treatment by their family and planet, but she also isn't the only one at fault.

Their relationship is complex and I love how their dynamic is so rich and difficult. They're each other's person and they're each other's Achilles heel… and they both know how to hurt one another.

I'm happy if you ignore the power retcon that they've done with Kory and Kom.

KATHERINE

TL;DR:

Katherine is one of my favourite characters and someone I can tl;dr about until the cows come home. What I love about her is how she's a survivor. She's someone who has adapted to her circumstance despite having little information at the time and has made herself a queen on a chessboard where she originally started as a pawn. I love that Katherine has had no one but herself and has shown herself to be tenacious and incredibly smart and powerful in her own right. I feel like, considering she was a girl born of nobility, she was naive and had to quickly grow up and protect herself when she was ostracised from Bulgaria and sent to England.

Considering she's the only person to outwit, outplay and outlast Klaus says volumes. She doesn't get her dues in the show for various reasons that are unfair, and I love being able to celebrate her character. She's someone who is so strong emotionally—she never turns off her humanity; she lives with every shitty thing she's done—and she's someone who I feel is 100% herself.

KATHERINE & NADIA

TL;DR:

I really loved getting to see Katherine's human history and to see a softer and more vulnerable side of her. Nadia was a great addition, even though I wish the writing had allowed Katherine to want to be with her rather than making her chase after Stefan (which seemed rather OOC for her given that she would've put her daughter above everything and did for five hundred years).

I love that Nadia never gave up on Katherine (and was the only person to ever do this). She was feisty and cunning and very intelligent, and she accepted Katherine for who she was, regardless of the choices she made. She just wanted her mother.

It was great to see Katherine being reunited with her family. I wish that she and Nadia had gotten to run off into the sunset together and live their happily ever after. They both deserved it.

When Nadia tracks Katherine down, Katherine gets to know her for her. (A rewrite of how canon characterised Katherine.)

STEFAN/KATHERINE

TL;DR:

Katherine and Stefan are my OTP of the series. I feel like they compliment one another so well.

Katherine finally lowers her walls around Stefan and almost becomes Katerina again. She wants to live, she wants to love. She lets herself be vulnerable with him.

And Stefan seems to blossom with Katherine. He becomes someone who isn't just Giuseppe's favourite son. He becomes a man who loves and wants to be loved and goes after what he wants. I love how she later comes to help him manage his PTSD (even though I do wish that the writers hadn't settled on "Your traumatic experience isn't the reason why you have PTSD, but the fact that this other girl broke up with you is why!" because that's kind of bullshit) and that Stefan comes to see Katherine for who she is—she is a good person who was in a shitty situation and dealt a shitty hand in life, and she made the most of it.

I just think it's so poignant that Stefan treats Katherine like she's a human being after she's spent so long being treated like an object and being disparaged and vilified. Even when she returns in season 2, he talks to her as if she's a person—and also has a go at her like one, too. Where Damon calls her misogynistic names, Stefan's the one who lowers his voice and tries to speak to her human-to-human. He always sees her for Katerina, not the monster that she tries to hide behind. He sees her when no one else (besides Nadia) has.

I love the power dynamic, the imbalance, the balance, and how Katherine is his sire and is such a pivotal person in his life. I feel like Katherine's appearance in season 2 made Stefan step up his game and we finally got to see a chess player.

A witch decides to turn them human. They only turn back into being vampires after learning a lesson.

When Nadia tracks down Katherine, Stefan decides to leave Mystic Falls with them.

Stefan realises he like-likes Katherine. This might be after she helps him and selflessly puts herself in danger for him. How does he deal with it?

Stefan's thrown back in time to 1490 and meets Katerina.

Them in 1864. How did their first kiss go? What happened when they first slept together?

KLAUS/ELENA

TL;DR:

I know this relationship is all kinds of fucked up, which is why I like it a lot. Klaus is definitely the big powerhouse physically between them, but I think that Elena gives as good as she gets and can emotionally manipulate Klaus as she is quite compassionate (in the early seasons, at least).

What I love about them is how fucked up it is. He tried to kill her—and successfully did so—and took her family away from her by murdering Jenna. He wanted to kill her best friend, uproot her entire life in Mystic Falls, and use her as a blood bag. How I read Elena's character at times is that she is a martyr, as established in the show, but she's also someone who has suicidal tendencies. Why else would she try and go toe to toe with powerful vampires when she's a human who could be snapped in half like a twig in just a few seconds? Elena likes the rush, the adrenaline, the danger.

What I'd love to see if them having to work together, even growing dangerously codependent on each other. He needs her to create hybrids and Elena needs him to punish herself for surviving her parents' fatal car crash.

I'm mostly attracted to them being a fucked up and toxic pairing with a few similarities shared between them. I'd love to see elements of Stockholm Syndrome in this.

I do have a preference for Elena being human and their dynamic in seasons 1-3, but if you want to write her as a vampire, go for it!

— Does he kidnap her because he wants to bury her in the Lafayette Cemetery in New Orleans to ensure no vampire can dig her up?

What happens when they're soulbonded?

Pregnancy sex. Does Klaus want to impregnate the doppelgänger because he's Klaus?

I'm all good with Wolf!Klaus and Elena—smut, no smut, I don't care. (I'm just not interested in the A/B/O worldbuilding.)

ELIJAH/KATHERINE

TL;DR:

I love Katherine/Elijah and am always going to be bitter about how the narrative chose to depict the relationship. Elijah was in the wrong for misleading Katherine back in 1492 and he was wrong again for immediately thinking the worst of her in 4x18.

I would love something where he pulls his head out of his ass and chooses himself for once—and that involves choosing Katherine. Both of them have so much trauma that's due to Klaus that never gets unpacked.

I love seeing Elijah raw and not composed, and also someone who is so composed because that's how he copes. I love seeing Elijah be someone who isn't as perfect and in control as he seems. He's a human being at the end of the day.

I love how Katherine is vulnerable with him. He is one of her biggest loves and someone who was so kind to her when she had felt so lost anda alone and abandoned by her own family. I feel like Katherine gave Elijah hope to love again; her romance and her inability to be jaded had opened a fissure in him again, and I feel like he's never been able to let Katherine go.

Bonus points in letting Katherine actually be angry at him for how he's poorly treated her over the centuries.

KATHERINE/ELENA

TL;DR:

What I love about the doppelgängers is the potential they had in season 2. Elena finally gets to learn about where she comes from! Katherine gets to see that her daughter got to live a life and continue on her family line. There's so much history and family between them that we never get to see the complexities of their relationship.

I really like Katherine's power over Elena and the fact that she holds all the cards, but I also appreciate that Elena is capable of being compassionate towards Katherine and her life despite what Katherine's intentions are towards her. Elena's able to disarm Katherine in a way that the Salvatores can't—in season 2, she's a particularly compassionate person who sees people for who they are rather than the caricatures that they try to appear as.

I would prefer not to see anything about Katherine wanting to be Elena. Her speech in the season 4 finale felt so OOC to me. She doesn't want to be Elena, she wants to be herself—and that's who she has always been fighting for since she was 17 years old.

I do prefer human Elena and her season 2 counterpart the most as I found that she was someone who was both compassionate and selfish, and she had a tenacity for survival that was a softer version of Katherine's. I'd prefer her to stay human unless her vampire self is requested.

KAI/BONNIE

TL;DR:

Even though Kai stabbed her a few times and was a massive dick, I love the chemistry between Bonnie and Kai. They have really great banter. I genuinely think Kai has a crush on Bonnie, but because he's Kai and he didn't exactly grow up in a healthy household, he thinks the equivalent to liking her is pulling on her pigtails. I love their bickering and how he gets under her skin. She has nice palms! I feel like there was a lot of potential between them—Bonnie could've learned more about magic and Kai could've learned a lot more about control and love. Bonnie could handle Kai's quips and immaturity, and I do feel like Kai wanted to impress Bonnie when he wasn't trying to outmanoeuvre her and Damon.

I think Kai is someone who was dealt an unfortunate hand in life. His family didn't care for him outside of his powers. All he ever wanted was to feel like he belonged and was accepted, but instead of treated as an outcast and a disgrace. I think Kai is a complex character, and I appreciate that he uses humour and sarcasm to deflect his feelings and to relate to people. I really find his sociopathic tendencies interesting and would love to delve deeper into that considering he does have a capacity for learning how to express human emotion… kind of.

Bonnie is a queen and someone who I think the show just did not respect at all. I love her for her loyalty, her confidence, her tenacity and her refusal to ever give up. She has such a big heart and such a big brain, too. She's the fixer of the show, and I really want her to step outside of the role of being the bandaid and the repairer and have her experience being the centre of attention and being wanted and chased. She deserves so much respect.

They practice magic. Despite not being able to generate his own magic, Kai has a lot of knowledge on spells. Kai teaches Bonnie.

Kai wants to learn how to control his siphoning so Bonnie offers to help.

One of them is thrown into the future where it's revealed that they're married and has to interact with this alternate version of the other.

Kai tries to apologise to Bonnie for shooting her with a crossbow. His attempts to apologise go utterly wrong.

Bonnie's with another guy. Kai, wanting to show that he is absolutely cool with it, is not cool with it.

Kai tries to go to college. Bonnie has a migraine from Kai going to college.

KOL/DAVINA

DNWS:

Heavily focused on Legacies canon. I don't watch this show; I'm happy for things to be set in the future and reference this show, but please don't set it heavily in it as I have no idea who's who in the zoo.

TL;DR:

I love Kol and Davina as they really do suit each other quite well. She calms him and gives him stability and love, something I don't think Kol has experienced in a long, long time. She accepts him when he's so used to being rejected. And Kol accepts Davina for who she is and sees her as a woman and not a witchy tool he can use for his own benefit.

I love that they stand up for each other, that they're so passionate, and that they calm each other, too. My favourite storyline was Davina resurrecting Kol and refusing to give up on him. She loves him with her whole being and Kol understands that—and is shaken by it, too.

I love the dynamic of this powerful immortal being in love with a powerful mortal. I love that Kol is this unpredictable and dangerous Original Vampire who is tamed beneath the hand of Davina. I love that he taught her how to love magic and she taught him how to love himself.

I do have a preference for Nate's Kol physically.

I absolutely love Agatha. I think she is such a rich character who is neither a villain nor a hero. She's someone who was working towards her own selfish gain and I absolutely loved that she had good motivations that weren't the usual cookie-cutter MCU villain. While she kind of turned into a bit of the typical campy MCU villain at the end, I really love how Agatha was always so smart and cunning and really, really played her role as the friendly neighbour.

I love her wit, her timing, her mannerisms and her quips. I love how she doesn't allow herself to be vulnerable, but when it comes to Wanda, she seems to let herself crack just a little. I'd love a character exploration of her that digs into her motivations and who she could possibly be as a woman and a witch.

WANDA

TL;DR:

I love Wanda and I absolutely love the development she got in WandaVision. We finally got to see Wanda the human woman who isn't just a prop in a male-dominated ensemble film. We got to celebrate her strengths and vulnerabilities and complexities.

I really loved seeing how she was not coping with her grief at all and was instead hiding away inside of it. I love how she hasn't learned how to grieve. She's lost so many people and yet she pushes herself onward in possibly the most unhealthy of ways. She carries her family with her, her failure in saving Sokovia, her failure in saving half the population from losing years of their lives… There's vulnerability and strength in her suffering, and I love that every time Wanda gets knocked down, she gets back up.

All she wants is her happily ever after. She just wants to belong.

WANDA/AGATHA

TL;DR:

Could the MCU get more badass witches? I love Agatha and Wanda. I love how they are so similar yet so different. I love their budding friendship, even though Agatha was manipulating Wanda so she could get closer to her. I feel like Agnes was the first friend Wanda had in a long time, and I imagine the devastation of knowing she was just using her would've only added to the compounding grief Wanda was experiencing.

I love Agatha's wit and her dragging Wanda. I love how she's so unapologetically herself. She knows who she is and she looks down on Wanda for not knowing who the is from a slice of bread. She's jealous, yet she still manages to hold herself higher and arrogantly. I love that Agatha owns her shit and every choice she makes, although I do love it when she's vulnerable.

I think Wanda has finally found someone who understands her. Agatha understands what it's like to be an outside, even though she had a coven at her back and accepting her. She knows what it's like to be someone she doesn't know how to be. Wanda seemed to grow confident in Agatha's presence and enjoyed her friendship, and even lowered some walls in allowing someone to get to know her. She trusted Agatha with her children, something I think speaks a lot of how Wanda saw Agatha since her children were so sacred to her.

I'm happy with the power imbalance and power play being explored between the two. Wanda mind controlling Agatha. The two of them working together, working out of sync. I think there are some great avenues to explore with them—dark ideas and even light ones.

I really hope the MCU goes the route where Agatha mentors Wanda.

PIETRO/WANDA

TL;DR:

These prompts are for AOU and WandaVision Pietros since I imagine both will affect Wanda regardless of the canon we're focusing on. Feel free to do any Pietro your heart fancies!

Wanda and Pietro are such an interesting dynamic that I wish were explored more in the MCU. I love the overprotective older brother and the spitfire and overprotective younger sister. I love that they are each other's person. I love that you can't have one without the other—and that when you do, the entire world is unbalanced because of it.

I'm happy for Pietro to have been brought back from his death or be a figment of Wanda's imagination. I'm happy for him to still have died and come back in some way—or for any fic to exist before his ridiculous death in AOU. I wish we got more of these two—they're each other's person, Wanda joined Hydra because of Pietro, and no one can convince me that Wanda didn't give Pietro his powers.

TL;DR:

There were so many missed opportunities between Natasha and Bucky.

I particularly love their Red Room connection and history in the comics and am more than happy to have that exist in anything you create!

I love that Natasha has someone who she can love and call home and who gets that she's someone who doesn't open up easily. I feel like Natasha is someone who could give Bucky the space to learn who he is and not push him into being someone else—or someone else again. They can trauma bond, but I feel like, most importantly, they just Get one another.

They understand one another. They know what it's like to be used as objects and as instruments of destruction and mayhem. Natasha would understand what it's like not to know yourself, and I think Bucky would understand more than anything that it is like to feel like you have so much red on your hands you can't wash it off.

I think that they'd have great banter together. Natasha's dry wit with Bucky's fun ribbing would be a great fit. I think she'd make him blush a lot, but he'd definitely make her blush with his well-intentioned compliments and even his own gentle jesting.

Please feel free to add in any comic book history and influences. I'd love it if Natasha calls Bucky "James" and Bucky calls her "Natalia" (only if it suits the story!). Please feel free to dig into their respective PTSD if you so wish!

They wake up in an alternate reality where they're married and Natasha's pregnant.

Bucky needs to go to Wakanda to get a check up on his arm. Natasha tags along. What happens?

DARK IDEAS:

What happens when the weekly big bad requires Bucky and Natasha to have sex to prove their cover story? You can make this as romantic or as dark as you want.

Aesthetically—and shallowly—I like Bucky with his short hair (and in his dumb blue shirt) and Natasha with her Black Widow hair. I loved that it was long and a vibrant red. STEVE/NATASHA

TL;DR:

I think it's the CEvans and Scarjo chemistry that really makes these two pop on screen. I really like their banter, how Steve lets his hair down around Natasha and how Natasha picks on him and seems to relax around him. I like their chemistry—it's explosive—and I like how they're believable as friends and also as romantic partners.

I like Steve's need to do the right thing and look out for the little guy. I feel like he's someone whose trauma doesn't get explored a lot because he has to be essentially a Barbie. I'd love to see explorations of his trauma, his PTSD, him still being a man out of time, and explore the ways he's letting himself live his life considering he seemed to really orbit around this need to help his country and become a hero. Who is Steve? We already know who Captain America is.

What I love about Natasha is her grit. While she's often the femme fatale in the MCU, I really did appreciate what we got to see of her in Black Widow. She's this person who wants to distance herself from her past despite it being what she runs to in the present. She has so many walls. I love her need to try and do the right thing. I fully believe even if she was to wipe out all the red in her ledger, she'd never be satisfied. I love her ruthlessness and the fact that she is such an efficient agent that that makes her a lot more powerful than Steve.

I'm more than happy for her Vormir endgame to be canon in any gifts. I'm also happy for it to be changed.

All I ask is that Steve doesn't call Natasha "doll".

DNWS:

Laurie/Jo. I'm happy for it to cause a roadblock for Amy wherein she doesn't want to believe Laurie actually loves her. I'd like to opt out of Laurie/Jo as an established relationship.

You can ignore my dnw for modern au if you want to go the Reddit route and doing so in the original canonical setting doesn't jive with your idea.

TL;DR:

I fell head first for these two when Amy read Laurie's ass for filth in Europe. I really love how their relationship feels mature—Amy seems to ground Laurie in a way that brings him comfort and Laurie sees Amy for the woman she is and nothing less. I really enjoyed their chemistry in the movie—I liked how he looked at her, I loved their banter, and I enjoyed how Amy, despite her feelings, isn't gentle with Laurie. She tells it like it is, even if it's the truth that will hurt him. They capture one of my favourite dynamics—the boy who trips over himself and the woman who trips him.

I particularly really loved Amy. I loved how she was unapologetically herself, even if that meant that she seemed like a brat. I love that she grew up into a woman who understood her place in society and who craved more but allowed herself to want something that her family never let themselves have. I like that she understood Aunt March's perspective and adopted it as her own, and how she wanted more in life but was willing to try and get it in an acceptable roundabout way.

I personally feel like Laurie would allow her to have what she wants because he's had so much taken from him, too. He wouldn't stifle Amy's independence or be intimidated by it but would nurture it.

The one thing I wish we got was MORE! I wanted more of them! I wanted to see them together in Europe, with Laurie being jealous and Amy being exasperated. I wanted to see him court her and Amy actually let herself be courted. I wish we got to see more fallout from Amy saying she wouldn't play second to Jo. (I felt that was a loose end.)
