304. SNOWFLAKE_CHALLENGE #6.
The list:
1. A favorite character
2. Something that makes you laugh
3. A bookshelf
4. A game or hobby you enjoy
5. Something you find comforting
6. A TV show or movie you hope more people will watch
7. A piece of clothing you love
8. A thing from an old fandom
9. A thing from a new fandom
I gave myself a mini challenge: All of these had to be photos of things I physically owned except for one. (It's crazy how I have nothing offline of one of my oldest and most favourite fandoms, ha.)
*
1. A favorite character

Characters: Taz as the Flash (Taz is my ultimate favourite character; I'm Lucille Bluth and play favourites); Wanda Maximoff as The Scarlet Witch, WandaVision flavour and signed by Elizabeth Olsen; Barry Allen aka The Flash from the CW Show… and someone else, maybe? Hm…
I cheated and chose my scarlet faves.

2. Something that makes you laugh
Abbott Elementary. This is the only submission for this scavenger hunt that won't be of a photo I've taken myself. I love this show. I laugh every episode, which is very unusual for me. The scripted comedy and physical comedy are just hilarious.
A video of Abbott Elementary's season one moments but out of context.

3. A bookshelf
YOU CAN'T JUDGE ME FOR HOW MESSY THIS IS.

I need to clean my bookshelf again. Oi. /o\
*
4. A game or hobby you enjoy
Marvel Snap has been my latest obsession! I never thought I'd be playing this game daily (or after a few days), but here I am three seasons in and still enjoying it.

Agatha is one of the cards I really enjoy from Marvel Snap and I was so excited to open her up.

She-Hulk was my first Token Shop purchase. She's one of my favourite cards to play.
I've been playing Marvel Snap for months now. While I still suck at maths, it's been a lot of fun outwitting opponents and being outwitted myself. It also doesn't hurt that the cards are pretty, too. (If you play, we have to be friends so we can play each other once the battle mode drops on 31 January!) This is me!
*
5. Something you find comforting
Of course, my cats. And to bring this back to fandom: Iris was my first cat, who I named "Iris" after Iris West on The Flash. I often call Scarlet "Scarlet Witch" and most commonly "Scarface". Ruby remains unburdened by fandom.

Scarlet often joins me when I play Marvel Snap and watch YouTube. Sometimes she's very involved and tries to eat my iPad and rests her paw on my phone to say "Enough".

Iris amongst her boxes. She very much likes getting inside of that wardrobe. To keep it with The Flash theme, she's with her speed mirage.

This is Ruby, who likes to investigate and climb into our environmental bags after shopping. Sometimes her investigations are so exhausting.

6. A TV show or movie you hope more people will watch

EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH SHADOW AND BONE SO SIX OF CROWS AND CROOKED KINGDOM CAN BE ADAPTED AND I CAN DIE HAPPILY!
Bonus: Ginny & Georgia. Season two was perfect and we have to hide it from Cancelflix!
*
7. A piece of clothing you love
I'm crazy about The Flash.

And then this happened:

Ruby chose to sit and groom herself on my jumper, as is her rights. Iris decided to sit on the edge of the bed. Not pictured: Scarlet on the floor below Iris.

8. A thing from an old fandom

I have so many Charmed novels it's not funny. This was one of my first fandoms. I used to go nuts collecting magazines that featured Holly in them. I have a lot of the Charmed books that I still need to read. (They're all on my bookshelf beneath the dressy bear on the right, third shelf from the top; you just can't see them lmfao.)
*
9. A thing from a new fandom

I've loved Batman and DC since the 90s films, but it was only in 2022 that I started to face my fear and stop being intimidated by the comics. So, I'm kind of cheating here as DC is a very old fandom for me (I sat on the outskirts for a very long time but enjoyed the films and most of the television shows), but I've only just started getting into its fandom and its origin stories.
The Long Halloween and The Dark Victory were the first two comic books of Batman I read. (I'd read Flashpoint and some of The Flash: New 52 when season three of The Flash was about to air.) I found Batman to be incredibly intimidating because of how much content there was about him. These two books confirmed that I loved comics, I loved Batman, and Batman's Rogues were the absolute best. (Plus Catwoman? Obsessed.)

Also, your bookshelf and mine look to be organized ("organized"? XD) along similar principles, which makes me feel better, because I definitely feel like I need to make a "there's a method to this madness, I swear!" (sometimes the method is, I really needed a place to put this thing, and it looked like it wouldn't fall from this spot)

There was a lot of trying to make the 1998 Charmed actresses into glamorous people wearing sexy clothing, looking at that magazine cover and comparing it to what I remember from the series.

The Charmed novels are such a blast from the past! It must be super fun to revisit them :D

Abbott Elementary is on Disney+ for me, so I assume it's on D+ everywhere! It's so much fun. 100/10, cannot recommend enough.
And Marvel Snap is like any other game when it comes to being frustrating, I suppose. I'm only good at some card games (not virtual ones) and I am really, really bad at maths, but I've been playing for several months now and have had some great success. It's frustrating like all other games are, especially when going up against bots or players who have card decks I can't predict the order of play for, but I've been playing it every day and really enjoy it.

(I subscribe to the same method as you do.)

I'm listening to the House of Halliwell podcast and it's really interesting every time HMC mentions wardrobe and how she was always "Nope" about it. I love that they wore such normal clothes on that show. (The first few seasons really showed it.)

I'm hoping to pick up a Charmed book here and there since I haven't read them all, but they're so much fun to read. I was never big on novelisations of film/TV but they're a lot of harmless fun!

Thank you! They are definitely cute and very, very evil. (They might try and suffocate me with their fluff from time to time. It's deserved.)
