Hi! Thanks for creating something for me for multifandomtropefest!

I'm buries and finnicks.

I've written this letter with the assistance of one of my very generous cats (she's so kind to give me the time of day and to sit in front of my laptop) to give you an idea of some of my likes, dislikes, and prompts. Please don't feel as though you need to include all the prompts in one fic. I'm hoping this will merely inspire you!

I wasn't too sure how to really format this letter due to the trope nominations, so I've chosen to include the tropes under the ships that had prompted me to sign up for them. (I haven't popped all the tropes I've selected under each ship as some of them are ones I feel are pretty self-explanatory or can apply to everyone.) That said, if you find you're inspired by a trope that I've nominated and didn't put under the ship you want to write, please write it!

FAVOURITE TROPES

• FAKE DATING: Even though I don't care for this movie anymore, I obsessed over To All the Boys I've Love Before because of the fake dating plot. I'm all for fake dating because you want to make someone jealous, fake dating for a mission, fake dating because you need a date to come with you to a family dinner or reunion or whatnot. I really enjoy the miscommunication and insecurities that lead to said miscommunication. It all leads to genuine feelings!

• SEX POLLEN: I just like the whole not needing to do a lot of build-up to have the payoff of smut and this really does deliver on that. I also really enjoy "Fuck or Die" (the pressure, the need to survive…).

• THERE WAS ONLY ONE BED: The sexual tension can be so rife with this! Make it a motel where there's only one bed. Make it a big bed, a small bed—whatever! A sleeping bag, a tent, whatever the hell people can sleep in where there's only one! I love this because of how people who may be in denial about their attraction have small incidental touches… Or where A is into B and knows it but B is in denial and thinks A doesn't like them. The touches, accidental spooning—hell, even accidental boners—and the potential for it to lead into sex…

If you choose to make me art, thank you! I am not someone who knows how to draw a nice circle, so I am more than thrilled to receive art. I like bright colours, character centric pieces that express an emotion and capture something about the character. I usually like simplistic backgrounds, but if backgrounds are your thing, please go for it.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES

This is my big fandom and one that I really, really enjoy (except for the later seasons). My favourite seasons are 1, 2 and 6. (I love season 1 for the lore, season 2 for all the plotting and plans, and season 6 just because it felt like the characters weren't total caricatures of themselves and Kai was in it.) I'm happy to receive any of the below ships for this exchange. Katherine is my favourite character from this show.

Things I'd like to not receive specific to this fandom:
• Elena/Damon in the background, as a past relationship, or even acknowledged in subtext. I'm fine if Damon is "in love" with Elena, but I don't wish for it to be reciprocated by her.
• Katherine and Elena pretending to be sisters.
• Heavily focused on Legacies canon. I don't watch this show; I'm happy for things to be set in the future and reference this show, but please don't set it heavily in it as I have no idea who's who in the zoo.

KATHERINE/STEFAN
These two are my OTP of the series. Katherine shows her humanity with Stefan while Stefan really does show off his compassionate hand when it comes to her. I think she also encourages him to live his life and stop being a hero as Katherine's her own hero.

Prompts/ tropes:

• CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT — RAW EACH OTHER IN THE FIRST SCENE THEN DON'T COMMUNICATE FOR A WHILE: Gives me Steferine vibes and could work really well for season 2 or season 5. Stefan and Katherine sleep together and then Don't Talk About It because what's healthy communication?
• SHARING DREAMS: They can manipulate each other's dreams, so what if they happened to share them? What if they chose to raw each other in a dream? The dream's the limit!
• BLOOD DRINKING - HUMAN CHARACTER GETS OFF ON WATCHING VAMPIRE DRINK THEIR BLOOD: What if in 1864, a human Stefan got off on watching Katherine drink from someone else? (Could be Damon!)
• THERE WAS ONLY ONE BED: Stefan being a little bitch about having to share a bed with Katherine even though he probably really wants to? Witches locked them in a room until they found something they needed for a spell or took down a bad guy? (Or maybe for no reason at all—the witches of this canon have every right to trap the vampires.) This prompt may be really great to join up with sharing body heat.
• SHARING BODY HEAT: Stuck out in the snow. Cold from the rain with nowhere warm to go. The electricity's out and we're soaked or it's freaking freezing because it's winter. Magical spell that makes everything feel like a winter tundra.

STEFAN/KATHERINE/DAMON
I really enjoy the power dynamics of this trio and how, no matter what, nothing will ever convince me that these two knuckleheads could ever overpower Katherine physically or intellectually. I wish we got to see more of their dynamic in 1864 and had gotten to see them together in various scenarios that weren't solely antagonistic on Damon's side.

One thing I'd like to avoid with this pairing is Damon being overly antagonistic and misogynistic towards Katherine.

KATHERINE/ELENA
I particularly love this relationship, especially the potential it had in season 2. I really like Katherine's power over Elena and the fact that she holds all the cards, but I also appreciate that Elena is capable of being compassionate towards Katherine and her life despite what Katherine's intentions are towards her.

I'm not really a big fan of Elena as a vampire as I felt like she lost a lot of her spark and fire; however, if you want to write about Elena as a vampire, please feel free to do so.

• SHARING DREAMS: Katherine decides to infiltrate Elena's dreams. Maybe Elena starts experiencing Katherine's dreams. Hey, why not raw each other in a dream? Bonus points if Elena is completely 😳 over having dreams about Katherine.

ELENA/KLAUS
I know this is hella fucked up, which is why I like it. The power struggle between the two is something that I find really fascinating. Klaus needs Elena while Elena doesn't need Klaus. The one thing I'd like to not be included in this ship's prompts is for any genuine feelings of romance to blossom between them.

This pairing probably works best with dubcon. I'm all for Klaus being physically more powerful than Elena, but Elena being more emotionally intellectual than this 1,000 year old baby. Please keep Elena human as I love the power imbalance and dynamic between human/1,000+ year old vampire.

I'm also happy for anything to be set in The Originals as I specifically love how the witches hate Klaus. (I'm also really into the episode where everyone is magically trapped in the Abattoir and can't leave.)

I didn't include these in my additional tags because of space and how unique these would be to my overall fandom request, BUT:

• CAPTIVITY - UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP - KIDNAPPING: Kidnapping people is what Klaus does best. What if he kidnaps Elena to ensure she won't run away for the S2 ritual? What if he kidnaps her so he can build his silly hybrid army?
• COERCION - ENEMY PROMISES HELP IN EXCHANGE FOR HERO SURRENDERING THEMSELVES: I think this one's pretty self-explanatory and would go super well with S2's ritual!

BONNIE/ELENA
Their friendship was solid back in the early seasons and unfortunately suffered from season 3 onwards. I really loved how Elena was genuinely happy and accepting of Bonnie being a witch and how Bonnie would throw down for Elena. I'm happy if you toss magic into it! Anything that fixes that and adds a romantic spin would be epic!

I enjoyed their dynamic in season five and the fact that Katherine prefers Caroline out of all of Elena's friends. Perhaps Katherine tries and teaches Caroline how to be a vampire who doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve? Or even helps a newly created Caroline learn the ropes of being a vampire? Maybe Caroline works with Katherine to find her daughter?

I genuinely think Kai has a crush on Bonnie, but because he's Kai and he didn't exactly grow up in a healthy household, he thinks the equivalent to liking her is pulling on her pigtails. I love their bickering and how he gets under her skin. She has nice palms!

I love Katherine/Elijah and am always going to be bitter about how the narrative chose to depict the relationship. Elijah was in the wrong for misleading Katherine back in 1492 and he was wrong again for immediately thinking the worst of her in 4x18. I want something where he pulls his head out of his ass and chooses himself for once—and that involves choosing Katherine. Both of them have so much trauma that's due to Klaus that never gets unpacked. I love seeing Elijah raw and not composed, and also someone who is so composed because that's how he copes. Bonus points in letting Katherine actually be angry at him for how he's poorly treated her over the centuries.

Jeremy being a little shit, Elena trying to mother and suffocate him… I'm all for Jeremy acting out against potential feelings for Elena and even acting out to get her attention. This one might be underage, which is fine with me, but if you'd prefer to age them up, I'm okay with this being set in college era or even as adults.

Season 3 is freaking serving! I'm forever bitter that they're not serving us Kory/Dick on a golden platter. I feel like the storyline has finally become coherent after two years of wondering what the hell is happening and feeling like the story hasn't tied itself together neatly. The team work is great. The characters are great. All that damn banter! I'm happy for Donna's death to be totally ignored as that was… questionable at best.

I'm happy for any tropes to be used.

KORY/DICK
These two are my OTP of this show and UGH, I need more! They're the mom and dad of the group. I love their chemistry, their ease at being together, and even the way that I feel they'd easily fulfil the trope of "They like each other but are just too stupid to say something." I really love how Kory wanted to get to know who she was and support Dick in finding out who he was without Bruce/Batman. They really could've trauma bonded if the show had let that happen.

I'm also happy for Komand'r and Gar to even be thrown into this as "You guys like each other and are so DUMB". (I really love the mother/son relationship between Kory and Gar.)

I have a weak spot for these two and I absolutely love their chemistry in the show. Childhood friends who like one another but then all their personal shit tears them apart? Check. The actors have great chemistry, too, and I enjoy how they've had a romantic past but now have a platonic relationship. Dick values Barbara's opinion and Barbara… well, it's clear she has a soft spot for Richard.

KORY & KOM
I love these queens so much and Komand'r is such a great addition to the show. I did originally think they were going to go a different way with her when she was introduced that was more sinister and cruel, but I am enjoying her dynamic with the gang. Kom is at her best being an absolute brat and expecting everyone to kiss her hand. I've been enjoying Kory being exasperated. That said, I'm totally happy for the dark side of their relationship that was established in the comics to come into any fics.

I'm also happy for Dick/Kory and Conner/Kom to be ships in this. Kory teasing Kom about her little crush on Conner would be so cute!

Prompts/ tropes:

• Addressing the elephant in the room: Kom did kill their parents and Kory's friend from home…
• I'm happy for Dick/Kory to also be in this set and have Komand'r tease Kory about Dick and for Kom to drill Dick about his intentions.

DICK & KOM
"Blackfire. The pleasure is yours." I NEED MORE OF THE SISTER-IN-LAW AND BROTHER-IN-LAW. Bantering, bickering, being forced to work together, Kom grilling Dick about his intentions… Kom bullying Dick about being such a dumbass and sticking around and STILL emulating Bruce despite his whole "Fuck Batman, I'm not him." I feel like they'd be so great to see talk. Dick would definitely be the type to force Kom into realising how she's pushing Kory away and how Kory loves her.

DONNA/KORY + DONNA & KORY
Donna judging Kory for her (amazing) taste in music was the beginning of a friendship we barely got to see in season 2. I'm all for their chemistry and Donna and Kory getting down together. I'm happy for Donna to never have died or for it to be set post-her resurrection.

GAR & KORY
I love their mom and son dynamic that they're establishing in season three. Gar is really shining and I feel like his best scene partner is Koriand'r. What if they spoke about how he felt after he killed someone way back in season 1? What if she taught him how to fight like a Tamarean? What if he listened to her talk about how she felt about her home planet and Komand'r? What if Gar decided that enough was enough and he was hooking Dick and Kory up?

ARROWVERSE (THE FLASH)

This show, man. Seasons 1-2 are my shit. The plot, the conspiracy, Thawne being a little bitch, Barry being a hero who didn't seem to be dumbed down for the sake of needing his team. I really enjoyed seasons 1, 2, Flashpoint, the concept of Savitar, the concept of Nora travelling back in time, and the whole concept behind the Multiverse and Mirrorverse. I felt like the later seasons haven't been as tightly written and dumb Barry down significantly, and don't give Iris much to do. I'd love to see Iris as a struggling journalist rather than one day waking up with an empire. I also wish they'd just bring back Matt Letscher as Thawne already!

I love the consequences of time travel, the emotional consequences of knowing you've travelled through time and changed something or someone. I love the seeing yourself in a different world and seeing how your life plays out because you weren't struck by lightning or your parents weren't brutally murdered. Time travel is one of my favourite things, so if that inspires you, please feel free to gun for it.

I'm also a big fan of how grief was portrayed in seasons 1-2. (I disliked how they kind of just blamed Barry for his grief response from season 3 onward when he really should've been supported.) I'm down for explorations in grief experiences for both Barry and Iris. Iris never got to deal with her personal trauma regarding her mom… and she never got to grieve her on-screen, either.

I won't lie, if you throw in blonde!Thawne being a little bitch and trying to ruin things by shipping West-Allen hard and trying to get them to stop being Idiots (according to him, anyway) I will love you. He is the biggest fanboy who walks in and trashes things just because he thinks it's helping.

As for supporting characters, I love E-2 Wells being an Exasperated Bitch™, Cisco, Cynthia, Linda, Joe, Wally, and Chester. I'm not a big fan of Caitlin, Oliver, and Felicity, but if you want to include them in the story, that's fine.

IRIS/BARRY
The gold standard. The OTP of the DCTV. They deserved their damn wedding without Olicity stealing the spotlight! I love that their relationship is founded on such a strong friendship. They're at their best when they're supporting one another.

Please note that a lot of the prompts/ tropes below can apply to all iterations of West-Allen. I'm also really cool with smut between these two—first time, honeymoon, fail sex, etc.

E-2 IRIS/E-2 BARRY
I really love the simplicity of these two. They're so happily married. I love that Iris wears the pants in the relationship and that Bartholomew simps for her. I also really love how he still has his own confidence even if he's a bit of a goober about it.

I'm ngl… Iris West-Allen in those damn pants? Damn. She was a whole look on Earth-2.

I'm happy if we ignore the whole… Earth-2 is gone thing.

• What happened to them after E-1 Barry and E-1 Cisco left Earth-2 in season 2?
• What if one of them inadvertently gets trapped on Earth-1?

E-1 IRIS/E-2 BARRY
We never got to see Iris meet E-2 Barry and it was a tragedy! I love the idea of Iris being able to see her Barry in him and really love and feel sad about the fact that her Barry doesn't have what this Barry has—his mother, his freedom from grief, and his ability to be happy without being burdened. What does she think of this Barry who is ultimately her Barry but so free from grief, trauma, and heroism?

E-2 IRIS/E-1 BARRY
Look… the fact that he pretended to be her husband was A+ and perfectly fits the fake dating, right?

MIRROR CLONE IRIS/BARRY
Mirror Clone Iris was so damn interesting to peer into Iris' psyche and her own mental strength. What if Barry ended up going into the Mirrorverse and met Iris' clone? What if Barry went to the Mirrorverse and had to work his way through helping each clone of Iris who represented a different facet of her?

I did enjoy the boss fight between them at the end and the kindness Barry still treated her with. I did enjoy how sneaky and manipulative she was of him.

IRIS/SAVITAR
I mean 👀 Guilty pleasure ship, I'm negl. Savitar made no fucking sense in the show because there is no reality where I would believe that Barry Allen would ever kill Iris West. It was a really bizarre characterisation choice. So, I'm happy for his backstory to be changed. What if Iris died and Barry couldn't save her despite how many times he travelled back in time? Savitar's the outcome of that loss.

Prompts/ tropes:
• Savitar travels back to the past and successfully finds an Iris who is alive.
• Hell, go dark and have Savitar try and lure Iris away from Barry.

IRIS & NORA
Nora in concept and in the first episode of season 5 was perfect, but I found her to be written very immaturely for someone who was at least in her late twenties. I'm happy for anything set in season 5 with Nora written to be a little more mature. What if she's resentful of Iris because Barry's "dead" (or lost in time) and Nora blames Iris for not trying hard enough to bring him back?

Season 6 Nora is also pretty cool and the way that I wish she had been written. (She's not so whiny and teenage bratty.) What if we got to see a moment between her and her mom and Iris realising that Nora wasn't completely gone?

What if Nora travelled back in time to save Iris and she had to pretend to be someone else to get closer to her mother without spilling the beans?

BARRY & NORA
5x01 was my favourite episode for these two because Nora was just so vulnerable with Barry about him not being in her life. I really, really love the trope of someone travelling back in time to get to know the person who is gone in their timeline and who tries to save them (I loved in Charmed with Chris and Piper). What if we got a mature Nora trying to get to know her father and realising that Barry needs to make the decision he makes in Crisis because he will never not choose to do good for the world?

BARRY & IRIS & NORA & BART
Family times! What if Nora and Bart are stuck in a time loop trying to get their parents together from season 1? What if they're stuck in the past and have to do their best not to alert their parents to the fact that they're their parents? What if they're all trapped in a house together because magic?

THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER

I really enjoyed this show as it gave Bucky a personality I felt he was severely lacking in the films. And the boy flirts!!! Him in blue shirts is chef's kiss!! Sarah in yellow is just stunning!! Sam actually gets a backstory and character development and isn't relegated to Funny Guy. The main plot left a lot to be desired, but I really enjoyed the character development and character moments.

SARAH/BUCKY
They had like two minutes of screen time together but I love that Bucky flirts and smiles with Sarah and Sarah not only appreciates the baby blues but blushes. Give this hard working woman some goddamn love! She seems so independent and someone who wouldn't need Bucky to save her.

I'd love to see them being a little awkward around one another, even reduced to teenagers who seem to blush. Bucky doesn't really have his personal shit together and neither does Sarah. Everyone on the dock knows they like each other except for these two idiots.

NATASHA/BUCKY
I self-converted myself into this ship via Tumblr edits and am eagerly awaiting for my The Winter Soldier comic book collection set! There were so many missed opportunities between these two. Aesthetically—and shallowly—I like Bucky with his short hair and Natasha with her Black Widow hair.

Please feel free to add in any comic book history and influences. I'd love it if Natasha calls Bucky "James" and Bucky calls her "Natalia" (only if it suits the story!).

My favourite movie is Far From Home, but I also love Homecoming, college things, being adults, being married, etc.

WandaVision is my shit! Honestly, the fact that it made me ship Wanda/Vision all because of episode 7… the power. I love the exploration of grief. I love the exploration of unhealthy grief. I love Wanda's damn magic! I love Wanda being manipulative. And I absolutely adore Agatha Harkness.

For art, I really love 1x06 for the Halloween outfits, Agatha's It Was Agatha All Along song, Agatha in purple (her in the audience of the 1950s set in 1x08 was just Hot), and the blue Monica sported in 1x03.

I'm happy for any of the prompts/ tropes to be used for any of these pairings.

WANDA/VISION
"What is grief if not love persevering?" is the reason why I began to really take these two seriously. Vision, who has no capability of understanding human emotion, tries to hard to understand it with and for Wanda… This show really captured why they work while the films failed to do that.

Agatha's cunning and Wanda's sneaky, and I just think these two make a great pair. I love Wanda being sassy and I love Agatha's whole charm and dragging of Wanda in 1x08.

I really loved the potential between these two. Monica saw the human in Wanda and refused to give up on her. I think Wanda realised how awfully she treated Monica, and that's something I wish the show actually addressed rather than brushed under the rug so that they could end it with Wanda alone in Sokovia.

SHADOWHUNTERS (TV)

I only know of the television series for various Cassie Claire reasons that I won't go into here. I really enjoyed the show after season 1 and am forever bitter that Jace and Maia were not the main ship of this show. I really enjoyed the Shadowhunter and werewolf mythology and wish we got more of it!

MAIA/JACE
We were robbed! I only like Jace when he's interacting with Maia. Maia deserves someone she actually has chemistry with! I really love how they can challenge one another and how Maia does not take any of Jace's shit. He steps up to the plate when it comes to her. She can step on him and he'd say "Thank you, boss". I really just love their chemistry and the way that they banter yet will come to bat for one another if needed.

I'm not the biggest fan of Simon and Simon/Maia so I'm happy for them to be broken up or… never to have been a thing.

Prompts/ tropes:
• What if they're trapped together for whatever reason? Seelie Queen decides to fuck with Maia and trap her in with Jace?
• What if Jace challenges Maia to spar with him and one thing leads to another?
• What if they raw each other and they're just too stupid to think the other one likes them, so we have a series of misunderstandings and jealousies?
• Jace appreciates Maia's scar.

VERONICA MARS

I've read and seen all the canon of this show. I read the books and loved them (there needed to be more Logan). I disliked "season four" of the show as I felt Veronica regressed significantly as a character and that the narrative played her toxicity and abuse of Logan as "cute". Logan's arc in the season was chef's kiss. If you'd like to write casefic, I'm all for it! I love Veronica when she's on the case and being her beautiful smart self and Logan's simply along for the ride as support and because he just loves being around V.

DNWs:
• Keeping Logan's season four fate as canon.

VERONICA/LOGAN
Spanning years and continents. Lives ruined. Bloodshed. Epic. LoVe have the chemistry and the relationship, and I really wish we got more of them! I'm happy for high school, college, reunion, pre-marriage, and post-marriage fics. If you're going to set it in high school, it'd be cool to explore the fact that Logan did have a crush on Veronica AND the elephant in the room… he did bully her. I'm happy for any fics that wish to deconstruct that in particular as it was one glaring plot hole imo!

Prompts/ tropes:
• UNPLANNED PREGNANCY: I'm happy for this to lead to anything—abortion, miscarriage, and carrying to full-term. Digging into the psyches and personal traumas of Logan and Veronica when it comes to family, mothers and fathers would be delicious!
• TIME LOOP — GROUNDHOG DAY: What if Logan has to keep reliving the same day over and over during high school until he does something different wrt Veronica? What if Veronica's stuck in a time loop? What if one of them is originally stuck in the time loop until they discover the other person is also stuck in the time loop?

JESSICA JONES

I love this show. I love the friendship between Jess and Trish. I feel like it did a great job in unpacking sexual assault, what it means to be a hero, and the pressure of society on women. I wish the show had another season to truly wrap it all up. I'm happy with how things went with Jessica and Trish, although I'm happy for you to change that if you wish! Set it during season three, post-season three… The sky's the limit!

JESSICA/TRISH + JESSICA & TRISH
I love how Trish looked up to Jess because Jess was her hero and how Jess took on the mantel of being Trish's hero because she couldn't save her own family. Even though I feel like their relationship is ultimately healthy, there are some unhealthy elements to it that is super enjoyable. Trish's idolisation of Jess props her up on a too-high pedestal. Jess' inability to really let anyone in, even Trish. At the end of the day, they'll always have each other.

Some of the tropes may not work for both types of relationships but I'm happy for you to be inspired by a shippy one for the gen relationship.

JESSICA/LUKE
Ugh! We really could've had it all. I wish that Luke had come back and he'd been endgame with Jessica. I love their dynamic, the way he seems to calm her, and the fact that she sees a future with him. I'd love it if he returned to NYC and hung around Jess in the aftermath of losing Trish. Pining. Sparring. Learning each other again. Luke in that damn yellow t-shirt!

BURN NOTICE

It's fate that I'm currently rewatching this show after years of having seen it last and this fandom is nominated! (I'm currently up to season five and will most likely be on season six or finish the show by the time you see this letter. I've spoiled myself for the end of the series so spoilers are not a concern for me.) I love the cases, the wit, the banter, and the relationships between the characters. If you want to write it with Michael's usual voiceover of tips, go for it.

FIONA/MICHAEL
I love how Fiona is not afraid to call Michael out on his bullshit and how Michael admires and respects Fiona despite how she can sometimes be a bit of a worry. They work so well together. I'd love to see them working on a case that goes wrong or them in Ireland or them where they think that they're going to have a nice holiday and they end up pulled into a case because Michael's Michael.

MICHAEL & FIONA & SAM / & JESSE
I'm really happy with family/group fics between these three (or four) characters. They all banter so well and work together like champions. What if they all get stuck in a warehouse together? Or one pairing is stuck and the other pairing has to try and get them out? What if they're stuck in a time loop? (I'm happy for this to also include Fiona/Michael.)
