What's in the Bowl? Bite-sized fic (I will aim for <1k), 5 stock icons, and a quick and dirty tarot reading using a deck of my preference.

    • Please note I'm riding a bit of a creative burnout wave right now and am working on longfic for exchanges, so I'd like to dabble in something shorter to get my creative brain sparking again!

  • Give me a theme, category, colour, etc. (i.e. purple, animals, warm, things starting with a particular letter).
  • I'll make 5—I may make more depending on how inspired I am.


    • For tarot readings:
  • Not offering questions. I'll ask the cards what you need to know and go from there. This will not be overly detailed.


    • I'll endeavour to leave you a little treat before Halloween arrives, but if I don't, I will do so in November or Mariah Carey season!

    1. Card to represent a treat in my life: Seven of Cups — You have choices! And if you don't, you will soon. The Seven of Cups is all about making decisions. Are you finding that you have a lot of opportunities present at your feet? Are you finding that one decision is leading to another, and it's like a Russian doll where more and more keeps being laid at your feet after every choice you make? This is a little treat for you! Don't doubt it and enjoy it.

    2. A way that I can fully embrace this treat: Six of Cups — Considering how she looks like she's crying and the cups are barely held comfortably in her hands, perhaps you're overwhelmed by choice. You don't have to make all these decisions immediately—or even pick any of the cups on display at all. Pick what's best for you (and for those around you) and leave the cups/choices that don't suit you behind.

    3. Something I don't yet understand about this treat: Three of Wands — Perhaps it's time to take a moment to set aside some time to make plans. The Wands is all about taking action, while Cups is all about emotions. Since I'm getting a lot of feelings of feeling overwhelmed, I feel the Three of Wands is encouraging you to take a moment to step back and consider what's on offer and make some plans. You're on the right track, but don't lose yourself along the way.

    I can't say I'm faced with any choices at the moment, so I strongly suspect the "If you don't, you will soon" is definitely at play here. Whatever it ends up being, I will keep cards 2 and 3 firmly in mind and remember to take my time and recognize that actually, I can choose D, none of the above.

    50 MILLION YEARS LATER… I had actually drafted this back in October but wasn't happy with it until I nitpicked at it today. I hope this is a fun surprise for you! It was a joy to write in October and I loved revisiting it now. ♥
